Es läuft einiges bei uns im Schachclub Wettswil. Aktuell kämpfen die 1. Mannschaft in der 1. Liga und die 2. Mannschaft in der 4 Liga , des Weiteren haben wir viele spannende Clubabende mit Theorie oder freiem Spielen. Neu bieten wir im Rahmen der Schach-Nachwuchsförderung in der Region auch einen Kinder-/Jugendschachkurs an.

Lerne das faszinierende Schachspiel besser kennen: In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Elternrat der Primarschule Wettswil bietet der Schachclub Wettswil ein Kinderschach im Türmlihus Wettswil – unserem Spiellokal – an. Ab Sommer 2025 wird das Angebot weiter ausgebaut:
Club venue
Schach spielen beim Schachclub Wettswil ist einfach. Das Türmlihuus ist mit ÖV/Auto vom ganzen Knonaueramt Säuliamt, Zürich und dem nahen Aargau in 10-20 Minuten erreichbar. Checke gleich mit Google Maps wie rasch du bei uns am Brett sitzt.

SMM Begins for Wettswil 1 and 2
This week marks the kick-off of the new SMM season for both teams of the Wettswil Chess Club. The second team opens the campaign on Thursday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. with a home match against Wollishofen 4.
On Saturday, March 14, Wettswil 1 will also enter the competition. After a strong 2025 season and a narrow miss in the promotion to the National League B, the team aims to make another push against Tribschen and fight once more for promotion.

ZMM Ends in Relegation
After a successful promotion to the Rapid Class P2 in the 2024/25 ZMM season, the Wettswil Chess Club faced a strong group featuring Dübendorf 1, Gligoric 1, Nizowitsch 2, and SG Zürich. This season, however, brought a tough reality: with zero points, SC Wettswil faced direct relegation. Now it’s time to shake off the dust, straighten the crown, and aim for an immediate return to the higher division.
